Understanding Acute Renal Failure in Critical Illness
Acute renal failure (ARF), also known as acute kidney injury, is a severe condition often seen in critically ill patients admitted to intensive care units (ICU). Traditionally, outcomes for these patients were poor; however, advancements in renal replacement therapy (RRT) and dialysis delivery have significantly improved survival and recovery rates.

Prof (Dr) D Mukherjee is an alumnus of the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College, Pune where he did his MBBS & MD (Medicine). Subsequently he went on to do his DM (Nephrology) from PGIMER Chandigarh, which is the foremost training institution for nephrology in India.
